InterVol's VMP's are dedicated and diligent in their work, from collecting and packing medical supplies here at home to traveling to privide care to those in need. Our volunteers are quick to offer their expertise and their hearts to anyone that may need it. We are fortunate to travel a variety of specialists, including those in plastic and reconstructive surgery, ENT, gynecology, dermatology, cardiology, nephrology, primary care, and anesthesiology.

The experience of traveling to a foreign county and doing something that truly makes a difference in the lives of those with whom you interact is an amazing opportunity.  To make the trip even more meaningful, volunteers are generally individuals who work together on a daily basis, many at Rochester General Hospital.   When Dr. Pennino first envisioned this program, he recognized that a vital element of the experience is the ability to relive the trip and share the memories with those you work with regularly. This only generated more interest from other health personnel intrigued by our missions. Therefore we are pleased that the majority of our VMP team is comprised of local Rochesterians.
