We believe education is the key to turning Haiti into an economically self-sustaining country. Currently, Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, with lack of education being cited as one of the main impediments to progress.

Five teachers have been hired, but chairs, tables, blackboards, uniforms, five computers, and a water filtration system are still needed. In addition, students are set to receive a nourishing lunch each day; for most of the children, this is the only meal they will receive, as food is considered a luxury in their household. The cost to provide these basics for each student annually is $500.
