A Town Recovering

Container Unloading

Success! The two cargo containers filled with medical and building supplies, as well as all the personal care items we collected, have arrived safely in Léogâne, Haiti. Volunteers from InterVol and the University of Notre Dame have already begun distributing the supplies to those affected by Hurricane Matthew.

In just one week, InterVol was able to collect, sort, and ship more than 20,000 pounds of food and personal care supplies, 10,000 pounds of medical supplies and equipment, and 6,000 pounds of building supplies. We would again like to thank all the volunteers who donated, collected, sorted, and boxed the supplies.

We would specifically like to thank the local businesses that served as collection points: Constellation Brands, Finger Lakes Community College, Genesee Brewery, LeChase Construction, Our Lady of Mercy High School, Rochester General Hospital, Unity Hospital, Van Bortel Chevrolet, Van Bortel Ford, Van Bortle Subaru, and WHAM 13.
